A former Iraqi diplomat told the New York Post that Al-Saadi had stated: “We need to kill Ivanka to burn down the house of Trump the way he burned down our house” .

Al-Saadi was arrested in Turkey on May 15, 2026, while allegedly attempting to travel to Russia, and was extradited to the United States .
